ORIGAMI PHONE HANDSET | 2010
One day I took apart a handset of a telephone, and found that functional components only took a very small portion of the space inside the case. The affordance resulting from the form factor of the case only appears when people hold it up and start to make a phone call. For the rest of the time, the case makes the phone a bulky object sitting on the table.
Therefore, I started to design an origami phone case that has dynamic affordance. It changes in its form factor based on if it is in use or not.
